Heute gaben Tony-Gewinnerin Laura Benanti und „Hamilton“-Star Javier Muñoz die Nominierten der Drama Desk Awards 2017 bekannt. Die Preisträger werden bei der Verleihung am 4. Juni 2017 geehrt.

Das Broadway-Revival von „Hello, Dolly!“ erhielt die meisten Nominierungen und hat nun die Chance auf zehn Preise, u.a. in den Kategorien Outstanding Revival of a Musical und Outstanding Actress in a Musical. Die neuen Musicals „Anastasia“ und „Come From Away“ erhielten jeweils neun Nominierungen.

Der Drama Desk Award ehrt besondere Leistungen und Produktionen am Broadway, Off-Broadway und Off-Off-Broadway. Die Gewinner werden von Theaterkritikern, Journalisten und Verlegern aus der Theater- und Musical-Branche ausgewählt.
